These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings and stays at Lowes Africa (Pty) Ltd. (“the Lodge”). By confirming a reservation, guests agree to be bound by the following terms.

  1. Bookings and payment
    Reservation Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed once written confirmation is received from the Lodge and any required deposit has been paid.
    Deposit: A deposit of 50 % may be required to secure your reservation for 2 nights or more. A deposit of 100% in case of a single night or a booking within 7 days of arrival.
    Payment: Full payment is required 7 days prior to arrival. We accept all major credit cards and secure electronic transfers.
    Rates: All rates are quoted in [ZAR].
  2. Cancellations and No-shows
    Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations received:
    If cancelling 7 days or less before arrival or in case of a no-show, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
    If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit total.
    I cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit total.
    If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit total.
    One night booking is not refundable.
    We reserve the right to not refund card fees (transaction costs) in the case of cancellations or other situations where funds need to be reversed back to a credit card.
  3. Arrival and departure
    Check-In Time: From 14:00 (2:00 PM) unless otherwise arranged in writing.
    Check-Out Time: By 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
    Late Check-Out: Late departures must be arranged in advance and may incur additional charges.
  4. Guest Conduct and Responsibilities
    Property Damage: Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused to the Lodge’s property, furniture, or equipment by themselves or any person in their party.
    Lodge Rules: Guests must comply with all Lodge rules, including but not limited to:
    Outside Food and Beverages: Guests are not permitted to bring outside food or beverages onto the premises without prior approval from management.Consumption of Food and Beverages in the Bush: For your safety and the protection of wildlife, guests are strictly prohibited from consuming any food or beverages outside the fenced accommodation area, including during self-guided walks, drives, or stops in the bush.
    Wildlife may be attracted to food smells, increasing the risk of dangerous encounters. All food and drink must be consumed only within designated and secure areas at your partio or inside the accomondation.
    Noise and Music Policy: Out of respect for wildlife and other guests, loud music, parties, and excessive noise are strictly prohibited, especially during evening hours. Management reserves the right to intervene in the event of noise disturbances and may evict guests who fail to comply.
    Do Not Feed Wildlife: For your safety and the wellbeing of the animals, feeding any wild or domestic animals on the property is strictly prohibited. Human food can be harmful to wildlife and may encourage unnatural or dangerous behaviour. Any violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the property.
  5. Indemnity Form Requirement
    All guests are required to complete and sign the Lodge’s Indemnity and Liability Waiver Form prior to arrival. Access to the Lodge property, including all facilities and accommodations, is conditional upon receipt of this signed document. Guests who fail to return the form in time may be denied entry or access until the requirement is fulfilled.
  6. Lodge Policies and Liability
    Right of Admission Reserved: The Lodge reserves the right to refuse entry or accommodation to any person at its sole discretion.
    Limitation of Liability: Guests enter the property and use its facilities entirely at their own risk. The Lodge is not responsible for:
    Power Outages and Load Shedding: The Lodge is located in an area subject to scheduled or unscheduled power outages (“load shedding”). No refunds or compensation will be provided due to power outages beyond our control.
    Force Majeure: The Lodge is not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to weather events, natural disasters, wildfires, government regulations, or network disruptions.
    Eviction: Management reserves the right to remove any guest who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, behaves inappropriately, or poses a threat to others or the property.
  7. Travel and Medical Insurance
    Guests are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel and medical insurance that includes cover for:
    – Emergency medical treatment and evacuation
    – Trip cancellation or curtailment
    – Loss or theft of belongings
    – Personal liability
    The Lodge shall not be liable for any expenses arising from a lack of adequate insurance cover.
  8. 9. Wi-Fi and Connectivity
    The Lodge offers free and unlimited Wi-Fi in designated areas. Due to our remote location, internet speed and availability may vary and cannot be guaranteed at all times.
    Wi-Fi may be subject to bandwidth limitations or outages caused by weather, power interruptions, or network issues beyond our control.
    Guests are kindly asked to use the Wi-Fi responsibly and refrain from high-bandwidth activities such as streaming or large downloads.
    No refunds or compensation will be issued for limited or unavailable connectivity.
  9. Acceptance of Terms
    By confirming your reservation or by entering the premises, you agree to all terms and conditions outlined above. These terms may be amended by the Lodge without prior notice, provided that the version in effect at the time of booking shall apply to that reservation.
